Changes everywhere!

I actually wonder how many people actually know of this blog and whether all my retardness will ever come back to haunt me if potential future employers find this lololol.

How about, you leave a comment if you read this eh? LOL jks anon internet trolls.

Anyhow, Prefect induction today. This is definitely one of the highs because everyone is jubilant and in awe of their shiny new badges. I hope the enthusiasm lasts (myself included).

I've started cataloging the work that I do every day so that I feel guilty if there's little written down for a day. Kind of works, so that felt good.

Might just be overreacting and being dramatic as I do sometimes, but sometimes, I genuinely fear I'm not doing my job (be it Cadets, SRC, Prefects or school) well enough and that I may let others down. It's a little daunting sometimes and there's always a niggling insecurity there. There are times when I've felt like I've done a topnotch job though. Cue one of the most memorable quotes I've ever heard (from Coach Carter (; ).

It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other
people won't feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of
God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.
